What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixels. They allow a site to remember your actions and preferences, and can be used to measure usage or to support advertising.

Categories we use

Strictly necessary: required for the site to work. These keep your session, remember your cookie choices, carry a site scan between the marketing site and the app, and protect against abuse. They cannot be switched off.

Analytics: help us understand which pages are read, where visitors come from and where journeys break. Used only in aggregate, and only with your consent.

Marketing: measure the performance of our advertising and let us show relevant ads on other platforms. Loaded only with your consent.

Consent under the GDPR and ePrivacy rules

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, no analytics or marketing cookies are set until you accept them. Rejecting is as easy as accepting: the banner shown on your first visit offers a one-click Reject all alongside Accept all, and a preferences panel where you can enable individual categories.

Consent is stored for 12 months, after which we ask again. You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

California and other US state privacy rights

Helix does not sell personal information for money. Some analytics and advertising cookies may constitute a sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, and by comparable laws in states such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Oregon.

You can opt out at any time by choosing Reject all in the banner, by turning off the Marketing category in Cookie preferences, or by using the Do not sell or share my personal information link in our footer. We honour opt-outs for the browser and device you use to make them.

We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or extension sends GPC, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing and disable marketing cookies automatically, without you needing to interact with the banner.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opportunity to limit under California law, and we do not discriminate against anyone who exercises a privacy right.

Third parties

Where you consent to analytics or marketing, cookies may be set by our providers, including analytics and advertising platforms. Those providers process data under their own policies and under contracts that limit their use of it to the services they provide to us. A current list of providers is available on request.

Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and offer a private browsing mode. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of this site. Deleting cookies also deletes your stored consent choice, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.
