The operating brief
Two per cent of visitors fill in a form. The other ninety-eight leave without a trace, and for a business selling a considered service, some of them were exactly the buyer you wanted. Lead tracking recovers part of that signal — and being precise about which part matters.
Helix follows each visitor's journey from the first touch — an ad click, an organic search, a returning visit — and identifies the organisation behind it where that is possible. Where the visitor has accepted your consent policy, it enriches the connection data and can suggest a contact profile at that organisation who fits the buying role. Every prospect is scored on what they actually did, and the best ones are handed to your sales team or pushed into HubSpot.
Capabilities
What the leads & attribution agent does
01
Lead tracking and prospect scoring
Every visit is stitched into a journey — ad click, organic landing, pricing page, return visit — and scored on recency, depth and fit. Where the visitor has accepted your consent policy, Helix enriches the connection data and suggests a best-match contact profile at that organisation, so sales gets a scored prospect with context instead of a raw IP log. Contact profiles are suggestions to verify, not guaranteed identities.
02
Company-level identification
Resolve a share of your traffic to named organisations with industry, size and location. Coverage is strongest for office-based businesses and weakest for residential and mobile traffic — the dashboard shows your real match rate rather than a marketing number.
03
Intent from behaviour
Three visits to your pricing page in a week from the same company is a signal. The lead score reflects it, and Helix can push the prospect to Slack or your CRM while it is still warm.
04
Multi-touch attribution
Which article, which keyword, which campaign appeared in the path to a closed deal. Reported as contribution across touches, not as a single last-click trophy.
05
CRM sync
Two-way with HubSpot: identified companies, scored prospects and their content history land on the record, and closed-won values flow back so attribution is measured against revenue rather than form fills. Other CRMs are coming soon.
06
Compliance built in
IP enrichment and contact profiling run only where the visitor has accepted your consent policy. A published disclosure page, honoured opt-outs, configurable retention and regional processing controls come with it, and the disclosure link ships in your footer by default.
How it works
From connected to running
01
Install
One script tag, or automatic if your site is connected through WordPress or Shopify.
02
Disclose
Publish the visitor identification notice — Helix generates it and links it in your footer.
03
Identify
Company resolution begins immediately; match rates stabilise over the first fortnight.
04
Score and route
Journeys are scored as they build, and high-intent prospects are sent to Slack or HubSpot with the pages they read attached.
05
Attribute
Closed deals map back to the content and campaigns that touched them.
What visitor identification cannot do
It cannot identify individual people by name from anonymous traffic, and any vendor claiming otherwise is describing something you should look at very carefully before buying. It cannot identify most consumer or mobile traffic. It cannot tell you what someone intended, only what they read.
Typical company match rates for business-to-business sites land somewhere in the twenty to forty per cent range, and lower for consumer-facing ones. Helix shows your actual rate on the dashboard from day one rather than an industry average.
Attribution without the fiction
Every attribution model is a simplification. Last-click flatters whatever runs closest to the sale; first-touch flatters whatever runs earliest. Helix shows the full path per deal alongside a weighted model, and is explicit that the weighting is an estimate.
For most small businesses the useful question is not 'exactly how much did this article earn' but 'does this channel appear in paths that close, and does it disappear when we stop'. That is answerable honestly, and it is what the module is built to answer.
