The operating brief
A growing share of buying research never touches a results page. Someone asks an assistant which managed IT provider in their city handles compliance, and gets three names in a paragraph. If you are not one of the three, you were not considered — and no analytics tool in your stack will tell you it happened.
Helix closes that blind spot by asking the questions for you, on a schedule, across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and recording exactly what came back.
Capabilities
What the ai visibility agent does
01
Prompt sets that match real buyers
The agent builds a set of prompts from your services, locations and competitors — the phrasing a customer would actually type, not marketing language.
02
Four assistants, tracked over time
Each prompt runs against ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity on a repeating schedule. You get a mention rate per assistant and a history, so you can see movement rather than a single snapshot.
03
Citation source tracking
When an assistant cites a page, Helix records which page. That tells you which of your content is doing the work, and which third-party sources are shaping the answer instead of you.
04
Share of voice against competitors
Who else gets named for your prompts, and how often. Category-level, factual, no editorialising.
05
Straight into the content queue
Prompts where you are absent become content briefs, so the gap turns into a published answer instead of a chart.
How it works
From connected to running
01
Define
Confirm the services, locations and competitors that define your category.
02
Generate
Helix drafts a prompt set; you add or remove any you like.
03
Run
The prompts execute against all four assistants on a repeating schedule.
04
Diagnose
See where you are absent and which sources the assistant used instead.
05
Close the gap
Approve the briefs that target those prompts and watch the mention rate move.
Why answers vary, and what that means
Assistant answers are not deterministic. The same prompt can return different names on different days, and personalisation, model updates and live retrieval all shift results. Anyone selling you a single fixed 'AI ranking' is overselling.
That is why Helix reports a mention rate over repeated runs rather than a position. A move from being named in one run in ten to six in ten is a real, defensible signal. A single lucky answer is not.
What actually moves the number
In practice, three things correlate with getting named: having clear, well-structured content that directly answers the question; being described consistently across the third-party sources assistants retrieve from, such as directories and review sites; and being crawlable by the assistants' own agents.
Helix works on the first, reports on the second, and checks the third as part of the technical audit — the robots rules that allow or block GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and CCBot.
