The operating brief
Publishing is the easy part. Most content programmes fail after it: the article goes live, nobody links to it internally, it never gets updated, and no one checks whether it earned anything. Helix treats a published article as the start of its lifecycle rather than the end.
Every piece is planned against a real query — pulled from your Search Console data, from competitor gaps, or from the questions people put to AI assistants in your category — and written in a structure that both a search crawler and a language model can parse cleanly.
Capabilities
What the content & aeo agent does
01
Briefs from real demand
Topics come from queries your site already almost ranks for, gaps competitors cover and you do not, and question patterns buyers use with assistants. No keyword lists bought in bulk.
02
Answer-first structure
A TLDR block, key facts, question-format headings answered in the first sentence, explicit definitions and cited sources. This is the shape assistants extract from, and it happens to be a good reading experience too.
03
Your voice, your facts
The agent works from a brand profile you set once: tone, reading level, what you sell, what you refuse to claim. It flags anything it cannot source rather than inventing a statistic.
04
Publish and interlink
Drafts push to WordPress or Shopify with schema, meta, images and internal links to your existing pages already in place. Old articles get updated links to new ones automatically.
05
Refresh, not just produce
Articles that slip in rankings or go stale get flagged for a rewrite. Volume without maintenance is how a blog turns into a liability.

AEO in plain language
Answer engine optimisation is what you do so that an AI assistant names your business when someone asks it a question in your category. It overlaps heavily with good SEO — you still need to be crawlable, fast and credible — but it rewards different formatting.
Assistants prefer content that states an answer immediately, defines its terms, attributes its facts, and is structured predictably. Long throat-clearing introductions, unlabelled claims and clever headings all reduce the odds of being quoted. Helix writes to that structure by default.
Quantity with a limit
Plans cap articles per site per month deliberately: 15 on Starter, 60 on Growth, 120 on Agency. The cap exists because there is a point past which publishing more on one domain stops helping and starts diluting.
Articles come out of that quota rather than out of your credit balance, so content volume is predictable and you never get a surprise bill for writing.
Plan availability
Included on all plans; 15 / 60 / 120 articles per site per month.
Starter $199 · Growth $469 · Agency $1069 per month, or $159 / $372 / $852 a month billed yearly (2 months free).
