The operating brief
Small accounts suffer from the same two failures: nobody looks at them often enough, and when someone does, they make a large change based on a small sample. Helix inverts that — small changes, reviewed daily, against explicit limits.
Google Ads is full autopilot: the agent can adjust budgets, pause and enable, add negative keywords, and rewrite assets, all within the guardrails you set. Meta Ads is currently connected in read-only mode — you get reporting and recommendations, and change execution is coming soon. We label it that way because it is true today.
Capabilities
What the paid ads agent does
01
Guardrails you write, enforced in code
Maximum daily spend, minimum spend per campaign, a cost-per-lead ceiling, campaigns that may never be paused, change size limits per day. The agent cannot exceed them, and it will tell you when it wanted to.
02
Daily waste review
Search terms that spent without converting become negative keyword candidates. Ad groups burning budget at three times target CPL get flagged before the month closes rather than after.
03
Budget reallocation
Money moves toward what converts, in increments small enough that a bad week does not become a bad quarter. Every shift is logged with the data that triggered it.
04
Asset testing
Headlines and descriptions are proposed, tested and retired on evidence. The agent writes new variants from your best-performing organic content rather than from scratch.
05
Conversion sanity checks
Before optimising toward a conversion, Helix checks that the conversion is actually tracking. A surprising number of accounts optimise toward a broken tag for months.
How it works
From connected to running
01
Connect
Authorise Google Ads. Helix starts read-only and stays that way until you say otherwise.
02
Set limits
Define spend ceilings, CPL targets and any campaign that must never be touched.
03
Choose a mode
Ask before acting, act and notify, or fully autonomous within the guardrails.
04
Run
The agent reviews the account daily and executes inside your rules.
05
Audit
Every change is in a log with its trigger, its result, and a revert button.
Honest about what automation cannot do
Automation cannot fix a weak offer, a slow landing page or a product nobody wants. If your cost per lead is high because your conversion rate is one percent, no amount of bid management rescues it, and Helix will say so rather than quietly spending your budget.
It also cannot beat the auction. Where the honest answer is 'this keyword is too expensive for your margin', the agent recommends dropping it rather than optimising a loss.
Why the change log matters
The usual objection to letting software touch an ad account is that you lose the thread of why anything happened. Helix's log is the answer: every action records the metric that triggered it, the window it was measured over, what changed, and what happened afterwards.
If the agent gets something wrong, you can see it, revert it and add a guardrail so it cannot repeat. That is a tighter feedback loop than most human-managed accounts of this size ever get.
